No More Cookies for You: Part #1

Oh well, until we will run our first draft/constructed events, I decided to write an article about my new deck which I’m testing at the moment.
So, to start with, “No more Cookies” because what I’m trying to build here, is a control deck which tries to take out everything on its opponent table.
How did it start? Well, looking through my old decks, I found the WBG Control which I played in the past. Its main goal was to long the games till it came out with the win condition. But back then, I had both Damnation and wrath to postponed the rounds, had Akroma to kick my opponent’s ass from 1st turn it came in, had Sacred mesa to generate tons of Tokens with the help of “Very Fast and lot of Mana” coming from the green color.

What happens if I control Magus of the Moon and Humility?

The Magus’s ability will apply in layer 4, changing all nonbasics in Mountains. Humility then comes along in layer fives and strips the Magus bare, so the end result is the Magus is a 1/1 with no abilities, but all nonbasics are still Mountains.

The Unsung Tribe

Well readers, it’s time for a more serious article. Shards of Alara is coming, and I have until then to go to my local FNM’s and enjoy myself until seeing whether or not Shards impels me to continue playing.

Now my last article was Standard, but since I only know of Standard being allowed at my FNM, I have to make another Standard deck. This one is no joke, no game. This is for points and prizes, not to mention more prestige at my shop for being a creative deck designer. So I need something that hits hard, and leaves no room for error.
